Global Design Project #173

Hello again, I am excited to join the the Global Design Project challenge this week.  It is a color challenge and those are always fun.

This is a very soft and pretty color palette that made my think of roses and soft cuddly things.  It is a color combination that I  probable would not have put together myself and I really love those because they make you look at things differently.  For example I tend to go for bright colors so this is outside my comfort zone.

I wanted to use a stamp set I have from the annual catalog that I have not had a chance to use yet.  I chose Botanical Bliss for my focal images and also used Beauty Abounds from the Occasions catalog for accent elements.

The die set that accompanies Botanical Bliss stamp set don't so much as cut the stamp images but rather cuts an outline image off a two inch piece of paper.  Something like a bookmark.   I used one die and cut it three times to make a flower border.

I used the bokeh style images in the Beauty Abounds set to add some background texture.  I love the contrast of the 2 images together.  The Polka Dot Tulle ribbon brings it together with the softness of the tulle and dot image.

I colored the flowers with Petal Pink & Soft Sea Foam Stampin Blends.  The vellum behind the flower outline is from the Floral Romance Specialty DSP.  That entire collection of papers are beautiful.

I hope you enjoyed my project today.  If you are interested in any of the products I used you can find them all in my online store.  Just click the catalogs in the side bar.  Don't forget we are deep in the  middle of Sale-A-Bration so you earn free products from the SAB catalog with every $50 purchase.  Please leave a comment or email if you have any questions.  Enjoy your week and make something pretty.  Happy crafting. Jacqueline
