Global Design Project 183

Hello all. This week on the Global Design Project page we are doing a theme challenge, "A day in the park".  With spring upon us I am sure we are all ready for some pretty outdoor weather.  We might have some in my neck of the woods if it ever stops raining on the weekend.  As I was making this card there were dark clouds, rain, thunder and lighting. At one point the lights even flickered.  Thank goodness it has past.

So on to the good stuff.  This theme was a perfect timing for me.  My co-worker and the guy she is dating are cyclist.  They are preparing to ride in the MS150 in a couple of weeks that goes from Houston to Austin.  I thought I would use the stamp set "Bike Ride" as this has been on my mind lately.

All of the images except the tree are actually stamped and cut out with the coordinating framelits.  I used sublets collection designer series paper to mimic the sky and grass. Them I stamped the tree and leaves on the DSP and layered all the die cut pieces on top.  It makes a bright, happy seen.

For the envelope and image inside the card I stamped off the tree & leaves for a lighter image.  This stamp set is fun to play with because there are a lot of little stamps for double stamping the pieces and parts of the bicycle and accessories.

Let me a comment below and let me know what your day at the park would look like.

Before I sign off I wanted to say thank you to the design team over at the GDP for the Special Mention I received last week.  I was really exciting.  If you didn't get to check out last weeks project you can click this link, GDP182, to view the blog post.

Thank you to everyone for stopping by.  Check the links below to see all the products used this week.  Happy Crafting.  Jacqueline
