GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT 185

Monochromatic Colors

Happy Sunday!.  I hope you all are feeling very blessed on this special day.  Luckily I have had some down time to spend in my crafting studio.  So Sorry I missed you last week.  We were in San Antonio at On Stage.  If you don't know, On Stage is a twice annual event for Stampin Up demonstrators.  We had a great time, got our hands on the new 2019-2020 annual catalog and placed with some of the new products.  Be sure to check back later this week for a peak at what I made & information about my ribbon & paper shares.  You don't want to miss that.

On to the main event.  This week the Global Design Project has a guest designer and the challenge is monochromatic colors. Well this fell right in with my focus today.  If I had not mentioned before we are in full wedding mode at our house.  My only daughter is getting married in October so thinks are really picking up now.  Six months to go.  I decided to go with a wedding card since we spent some time today finalizing the guest list.  Amazing how many people you know.

I started with one of the products that premiered during sale-a-bration, the County Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  This creates a beautiful embossed  image that can be used by itself like I did, or a hundred other ways.  I am so happy that it will be in the annual catalog in June.

I embossed the sentiment on vellum with silver embossing powder and added some silver trimmed ribbon and pearls for accents.  The pearls were given a silver look finish with the light Smokey Slate blends.

I loved the way it turned out and I think it would be equally as beautiful in any monochromatic color scheme for any occasion.  Let me know in the comments what your favorite color would be to re-create this card.

Thank you all for stopping by.  Don't forget that I will be posting the details about my paper and ribbon shares later this week.  This is a perfect chance to see all the beautiful new papers and ribbons in the catalog without having to make the full investment.
